The Grand Bend Sport Parachuting Center
Bob Wright started the GBSPC as his full-time business in 1982. He'll
be supervising your training and will likely be one of the instructors
jumping with you on your first skydives at the Grand Bend Sport Parachuting
Center. Bob has been skydiving for more than 37 years; he's done over 12,900 jumps (more than anyone else in Ontario) and accumulated over 132 hours of freefall
time. He does about 400 jumps per year, many of them with beginners. His instructing
experience spans more than 30 years during which he's taught about 5000
first- timers. He pioneered the concept of using rectangular parachutes for
beginners (in 1982) and was also one of the early proponents of the "Progressive
Freefall" method of teaching skydiving. Over six thousand of his jumps
have been freefall skydives with beginners.

Mary Wright did her first skydive in 1994 at Grand Bend. Since then Mary has done more than 3200 skydives and accumulated over 37 hours of freefall time. She is a CSPA-rated Rigger "A"; she maintains and repacks many of the reserve and emergency parachutes used by skydivers and glider/aerobatic pilots in southern Ontario. Mary also holds CSPA Coach 1 and 2 ratings and helps advancing skydivers improve their solo and Formation Skydiving skills. As a rated Instructor "B" and P.F.F. Instructor Mary helps teach beginners and often accompanies them on their first skydives. She is an accomplished freefall videographer and has video'd more than 900 first time skydivers. When she's not at GBSPC Mary is the Guest Services Manager at
Oakwood Resort Golf Spa and Conference Centre in Grand Bend.
