Skydiving Video Clips

Three of the links on this page are to "streaming videos" hosted on a site provided by Matrox. You should be able to click on the link to bring up the video clip. Right now we have only encoded them to work with Windows Media Player. If you have a sound card you should hear the audio. There is a possibility that they will not work with Netscape but they should definitely work with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Sometimes the network gets slowed down so the result is that the video will pay in a jerky fashion or as a series of still frames. If that happens, just try again later when the network is not as busy.

The videos were encoded to work best with a high speed connection such as DSL or Cable. If you have a low speed connection, it may not work right- Sorry!

Melissa MacGillivray's First Skydive This is a brief clip showing only the exit and freefall of a typical first-jump video production. If you get a video of your skydive, it will be much longer (about 6 minutes); it will have much better video quality than this streaming version and will have your choice of music. It can be recorded on VHS tape or more likely a DVD for playing at full screen, full resolution on a computer or DVD player.
